The loss of a loved one is usually the cause of much grief and sadness. In our Catholic tradition, however, we pray in sure and certain hope that life is changed, not ended. It is our firm desire that our departed brothers and sisters share in the eternal life Christ gained for us through his death and resurrection. This is what we celebrate when we gather together for a Catholic funeral.
