Ash Wednesday: Celebration of the Word and Distribution of Ashes

Ashes can be distributed outside Mass on Ash Wednesday, but only within a Celebration of the Word of God. Here is a simple celebration that can be used, particularly when taking ashes to the sick and housebound.
