About the Ministry of Altar Service

Altar Servers are responsible for assisting the priest in the celebration of Mass. This includes an active role in processions, assisting the priest when he presides at the chair, and at the altar during the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Their role also includes an element of supervision and coordination; ensuring that the liturgical celebration is reverent and orderly.

Altar Service is open to prayerful and reverent males and females who have celebrated their First Communion, who understand the order of Mass, and are aware of and attentive to the needs of others.
